Since our establishment in 1902 as a Royal Prussian Wine Domaine, and the initial planting of our vineyards with Riesling, we have given rise to numerous legendary wines. This rich historical legacy remains our most profound source of inspiration.

"Dogma isn't our philosophy!" is one of the cherished mottos of our winemaker, Karsten Peter. In our cool, deep cellar, we undertake only the essential procedures required for stabilizing and clarifying our wines. Time is our most invaluable asset in this endeavor.

We always carefully consider the effect of our vineyard cultivation and every other aspect of our work upon the ecosystem, because the special quality and character of our wines are completely dependent upon it.
