/ Paradise at ‘the end of the world’…

Decompression: one already slows down and feels the tension disperse and dissipate on the way up to Gut Hermannsberg – driving through the picturesque Nahe Valley, past the massive Rotenfels towering above the legendary vineyard Traiser Bastei (and the estate’s own vines), then along the banks of the Niederhäuser Reservoir, and finally – via an adventurously narrow little roadway – up the hill to the Hermannsberg. Only one hour by auto from Frankfurt am Main International Airport, the visitor will find communion with nature, rest & recuperation, culinary pleasure and the finest of Rieslings in a beautiful ensemble that brings together wine estate, guesthouse and gastronomic delights.

Our guesthouse offers the ideal point of departure for hikes through the surrounding vineyards, and for bicycle touring along the Nahe River, for wine tastings and culinary discoveries – or simply just the ideal place to relax. Our cellarmaster Karsten Peter characterises Gut Hermannsberg as ‘paradise at the end of the world…’ And he’s right!

An important notice: please keep in mind that for holiday weekends in our guesthouse, a minimum stay of three nights is required. We will be offering attractive programmes for all of these holidays.

From May to October, weekend lodgings require a minimum of two nights – arrival on Friday, departure Sunday.

/ A bed amid a sea of Riesling vines…

Gut Hermannsberg is situated in the middle of the eponymous monopole vineyard, in an impressive setting on a grand hillside above the Nahe River. Here surrounding the manor house and the guesthouse, Riesling vines are growing in extremely steep, meagre and stony vineyards, laid out in terraces by the hand of man through countless hours of backbreaking labour.

Looking out from our vantage point, the visitor’s glance travels over the wild and romantic Nahe River Valley and the impressively steep slopes of the Kupfergrube and Steinberg that surround the estate. Here against this breathtaking backdrop, the visitor is sure to find rewarding downtime, rich in flavour and experience in the guesthouse at Gut Hermannsberg.

/ Spend the night in the old administrator’s residence…

The guesthouse at Gut Hermannsberg was constructed in 1910 to house the director of administration for the Royal Prussian Wineproducing Domain Niederhausen-Schlossböckelheim, where the incumbent director lived up until privatisation of the estate in 1998.

At that time it was painstakingly rebuilt and renovated with great sensitivity to detail. A subsequent remodelling of individual rooms in 2010 and 2013–14 expanded the accommodations to include five exclusive apartments or suites and six stylish double rooms, available for our guests. If the weather is fine, the meticulously tended garden and the modern sundeck of the guesthouse offer the perfect setting for sunbathing or a short break for a glass of wine – all with a marvellous view.

/ A stylish and pleasant atmosphere

You will be staying in the former home of the winery director. All of our rooms have been sensitively renovated with great attention to detail. Hardwood floors, a warm colour scheme and stylish furniture create the perfect ambience for relaxation and a sense of well-being.

The modern baths offer WC and shower; some are even equipped with a bathtub. All rooms have satellite television; telephone and internet access are at your disposal in all of the rooms.

Breakfast will be served to you in our comfortable and cosy vinotheque, or in a historic and intimate room on the ground floor of the guesthouse.
